WaPo reports that Eastern Market businesses (i.e., those actually displaced by the April 30 fire) will soon have a new home across the street.
I walked past the temporary home yesterday on my way back to the office from Port City Java (gotta get a smoothie a couple of times per week) and was taken aback by the size of it. Even Market Lunch will be in there; I hate to quote Rachael Ray, but “Yumm-o!”
If you’re on your way over to the area, make sure to stop in at my usual weekend haunt, Uncle Brutha’s and pick yourself up some hot sauce, some tasty jerky, or just chill while getting hot with the friendly crew inside (there’s A/C, but it won’t help much if you try something like Ground Zero).
